5 Tips to Avoid Getting Scammed
We all want to trade our CS:GO skins fast and without running into problems. None of us want to experience the terrible feeling you get when you get scammed. Therefore, we’ve written this guide, that will help you in not getting scammed. There are quite a few fake scam sites out there, but with these tips, you should be able to weed them out and have a chance of getting scammed that is close to 0%.
Our main recommendation is to check out our top 10 list of CS:GO bots. This list contains our favorite trading bots. We’ve done all the steps below for these sites, and have also traded $500+ worth of skins on each. This is to verify that the sites are actually legitimate. However, here are our tips:
1. Requires deposit first
This is the biggest scam indicator. If a site requires you to deposit before you can withdraw your skins, then it’s a guaranteed scam site. Stay away from those. You won’t get your “withdrawal skins” or your “deposit skins” back.
2. Under/Over Valuing the inventory
A good rule of thumb is that if something sounds good that’s too good to be true, then that’s probably also the case.
If you are offered a Karambit DOppler for $40 then that’s not real, and the site is most definitely a scam site.
3. Too low commission
CS:GO trading sites are real businesses. They are run with profit in mind.
If the commission that the site takes is lower than 3%, there’s a high chance that it’s a scam site. The site won’t make enough profit if they take a commisison that low, so therefore, no legitimate site would do so.
4. Poor Social Media Presence
Creating a proper social media presence requires time and effort. It takes countless hours, and it’s something that a scam site will most likely leave out, as it’s so time intensive. Therefore a poor social media presence is an indicator that the site is probably a scam site.
What’s a poor social media presence you may ask? An example would be if the company never engages with their users on social media, and if they don’t have a lot of followers and likes.
Use your common sense for this one.
